Fantastic Four Heads To Planet Of The Apes In New Series:

Here’s one comic you’ll want to get your damn dirty hands on: Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four, a new four issue series from Marvel that sends the FF to Jurassic Park. Just kidding.

Written by Josh Trujillo with art by Andrea Di Vito, the series is the latest crossover between Marvel and 20th Century Studios, which coincidentally are both owned by Disney. Huh!

Here’s the official synopsis, via Marvel: “Marvel’s First Family find themselves stranded on the Planet of the Apes! Witness history as the Fantastic Four cross paths for the very first time with Cornelius, Zira, Ursus – and of course Dr. Zaius! But they won’t be going alone! Familiar foes from the Marvel Universe have set their sights on Ape City, setting the stage for a battle royale that fans won’t soon forget!”

Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four #1 hits stores on February 4, 2026… You damn, dirty apes.

Black Panther Gets Anniversary One-Shot:

Wakanda may be forever, but Black Panther has only been around for 60 years. And to celebrate that anniversary, Marvel is releasing Black Panther Anniversary Special #1, a collection of stories looking back through the history of T’Challa.

Included in the upcoming one-shot are: Evan Narcisse and George Jeanty on a story of former Black Panther Kaspar Cole; Murewa Ayodele and Eder Messias focusing on Storm and T’Challa’s relationship; Cody Ziglar and Alitha E. Martinez bringing on a Black Panther/Blue Marvel team-up; and Christopher Priest (with presumably artist TBA) returning to Black Panther for a story bringing T’Challa into conflict with Magneto.

Black Panther Anniversary Special #1 hits stores on February 11, 2026.

Dark Knight Returns Gets Facsimile Editions:

Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns returns with new facsimile editions from DC Comics.

Per 13th Dimension, as you might expect the series, which finds an older Batman returning to action, will be published in four parts starting in February of 2026. However, the most eye-opening part is that the first issue will come with variant covers by Miller, as well as Jim Lee. Lee has previously done rare variants for sequels to Dark Knight, including The Master Race and The Last Crusade. Miller, of course, has done covers for all of them, and has been on a cover streak the past few years, much to the consternation of the internet.

While those variants have yet to be revealed, you can pick them up when The Dark Knight Returns #1 facsimile edition hits stores on February 25, 2026.

For Comic Book Club News, I’m Alex Zalben. Wakanda 60 years! Hm, doesn’t have the same ring to it.
