Phantom of the Opera Comes To Skybound:
In sleep he calls to me… Or rather, they call to me, as Tyler Boss and Martin Simmonds are the next creative team on Skybound’s Universal Monsters line with The Phantom of the Opera.
In the new comic, per PR, “A young soprano, Christine, finds her career in chaos after a series of violent crimes plagues the Paris Opera House.
But the show must go on, and Christine will discover that no one – especially the mysterious voice whispering from the eaves – is what they seem. As an old friend returns to investigate these surprising attacks, Christine will discover her connection to the truth and the man known as…THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.”
Simmonds previously worked on the Dracula miniseries with writer James Tynion IV (who just finished The Invisible Man). The new four issue series Universal Monsters: The Phantom of the Opera #1 will hit stores on February 25, 2026.
The Skinless Man Series Announced For Dark Horse’s Lands Unknown:
Lands Unknown is the latest entirely new universe from creators Mike Mignola and Ben Stenbeck. And in a follow up to Bowling With Corpses and Other Strange Tales From Lands Unknown, Stenbeck is expanding the world with the new, two-issue series The Skinless Man.
Written and drawn by Stenbeck, The Skinless Man will feature colors by Dave Stewart and letters by Clem Robins, but absolutely will not feature any skin whatsoever.
In The Skinless Man, a traveler takes refuge in a witch’s house during a stormy night, where he hears the story of the Skinless Man who — get this — is in search of skin. In the tale within a tale, a “gang of warlocks” tries to deceive him, but they likely didn’t take into account how much he would like to have skin, instead of not having skin.
Lands Unknown: The Skinless Man #1 hits on March 4, 2026 from Dark Horse Comics.
Death Fight Forever Is Here To Punch Your Socks Off:
Andrew MacLean, creator of the wildly over-the-top Head Lopper, is back in action for Death Fight Forever. And he’s brought a few fighting partners along with him.
Said MacLean via press release, “Death Fight Forever was born from a love of ’90s beat ‘em up video games and a desire to write a comic that highlights some of the coolest art styles of our time.”
Alongside MacLean is artist Alexis Ziritt, and the first issue will feature covers by MacLean, Ziritt, and Dylan Burnett. In the Image Comics book, “super-thief bruiser brothers, Crash and Bash Biggle, jump into action to help Commander Thunderfang fight inter-dimensional crime boss, Lord Slyther. But a run-in with Marla Mendoza, leader of the COPZ gang and Slyther’s most formidable loyalist, changes the course of Bash’s life forever.”
Death Fight Forever #1 hits stores on February 18, 2026.
