Marvel And DC Comics Team-Up For ‘Thor / Shazam’ And ‘The Flash / Fantastic Four’ Digital Comics… And A Free Subscription Trial Swap

Here’s a shocker: Marvel and DC are teaming up for TWO surprise digital crossover comics, Thor/Shazam and Fantastic Four/Flash… And will also offer discounts on both Marvel’s digital platform AND DC’s platform as part of a “trial swap.” Wild!

Thor/Shazam is written by Al Ewing and drawn by Jethro Morales, and is available now on Marvel Unlimited. Meanwhile, The Flash/Fantastic Four, written by Jeremy Adams, with art by Adrián Gutiérrez and colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr. is now on DC GO.

In addition to each comic being free-to-read with registration (they’ll move behind a paywall in 30 days) and released as vertical scroll, the publishers are also offering a “trial swap” on subscriptions. Here’s what Marvel and DC had to say per their respective press releases:

To celebrate this new digital crossover initiative, Marvel and DC will offer each of their subscribers in the US an exclusive code for a 30-day free trial to each other’s subscription service, Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe Infinite (“DCUI”). MARVEL UNLIMITED paid subscribers who are not current DCUI subscribers will be offered a trial of the DCUI Ultra Monthly Plan, and DCUI paid subscribers who are not current MARVEL UNLIMITED subscribers will be offered a trial of the Marvel Unlimited Monthly Plan. Current subscribers of either of the subscription services will be sent an email with their unique code. New subscribers need to sign up before 12/17/25 to receive your free trial code. Autorenewal and other terms apply.

Per Marvel, you can use the code CROSSOVER25 at Marvel.com/redeem to get a digital copy of the Thor/Shazam comic, whether you’re a subscriber or not.

These two webcomics come hot on the heels of Deadpool/Batman from Marvel, and ahead of the release of Batman/Deadpool from DC Comics on November 19. There will be a third printing of the former on December 10.
