This is Comic Book Club News for November 7, 2025.

Dani Moonstar Gets Solo Comic From Marvel:

New Mutants and X-Men fave Dani Moonstar is getting her own solo comic from Marvel.

The issue, titled Moonstar #1, was first revealed in the back of this week’s issue of Echo: Seeker of Truth, a Marvel Voices special celebrating Native American Heritage Month. In the back of the issue, there were six titles suggested as follow up reading, with the surprise inclusion of the not-previously solicited Moonstar, which is dated for January 28.

There were no additional details offered, and thus far, no writer or artist has laid claim to the title, or even the cover art on display. We’ve reached out to Marvel for additional information, but did not receive a response as of recording time.

Batman Elseworlds Stories Get Omnibus:

Some of the best Batman Elseworlds tales, alongside some that might not be considered the best Batman Elseworlds tales, are being collected by DC Comics in a new omnibus.

Per ICv2, Elseworlds: Batman Omnibus Vol. 1 will run 1,384 pages, and be a little pricier than your regular omnibus at $175. In it, you’ll get Gotham by Gaslight and Batman & Dracula: Red Rain, alongside Batman: Holy Terror, Batman: Man-Bat, and a bunch of other one shots, annuals, and other assorted issues.

Upside? You’ll get two-thirds of the classic Doug Moench/Kelley Jones Batman vampire trilogy. Downside? You’ll have to wait until the omnibus is released on March 17, 2026.

Graphic Novel Sales Are Down In 2025:

Despite the single issue part of the comic book industry being up, graphic novel sales are down in 2025.

Per The Beat, as announced at ComicsPro’s annual event, sales of graphic novels slipped 4.7% by September, versus the same period in 2024. While kids’ graphic novels were up 5%, bringing them to 36% of total sales, adult and YA were both down. Adult fell 1.5%, still dominating with 61% of the market, while YA graphic novels were down 2.4% to only 3% of the market.

Of important note: this represents sales only via BookScan, which means graphic novel sales at book stores — versus comic book stores. KIds continued domination of graphic novels is due to the strength of titles like Dog Man, Warriors, Wings of Fire, and The Baby-Sitters Club, while the decline in YA is due to less interest in properties like Heartstopper and Five Nights at Freddy’s.

As for the adult category, while manga is still huge with 40% of the sales, the superhero sector has seen growth thanks to DC’s Compact Comics and Marvel’s Premier Editions. The big winner though is horror, which grew 18% year over year thanks to hits like Jujutsu Kaisen and Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees.

And overall, 41 million graphic novels were still sold in 2025. So even though they’re down, that’s still not too shabby.
