Absolute Batman Dominates October 2025 Graphic Novel Sales:
After a slight dip in September to make way for another Batman graphic novel, Absolute Batman Volume 1 was back at the top of the charts for October 2025.
Per ICv2, DC Comics actually took the entire Top 10 out of 20 for the month, forcing every other publisher down the list — and one outlier, the Compact Comics edition of Watchmen at number 16. As with previous months, a healthy sampling of these trade collections were Batman focused, five were Compact Comics, and four were from the Absolute Universe. In addition, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow stayed strong on the charts, and a new entry, DC x Sonic the Hedgehog, hit at number nine.
Marvel and Image hit with four titles each in the Top 20. For Marvel, that included volumes one and three of Ultimate Spider-Man, the Predator vs. Spider-Man collection, and a Premier collection of Old Man Logan. Image’s selections included the first volume of Bug Wars and Exquisite Corpses, as well as a digest for Invincible and a Transformers Compendium.
That left one additional slot, for IDW’s TMNT x Naruto.
Hellboy in Hell Gets Second Artist’s Edition:
Say hell-o to Mike Mignola’s Hellboy in Hell Book 2 Artist’s Edition. Act 4 Publishing will release the deluxe edition next year, featuring pristine looks at Mignola’s pencils and inks.
Running over 180 pages, the book collects Hellboy in Hell issues #6 through #10 with scans of the original art pages, presented in their original artboard size. It will also include a new introduction by Kevin Nowlan, who designed the Hellboy logo, and a new afterword by Steve Purcell.
Mike Mignola’s Hellboy in Hell Book 2 Artist’s Edition will hit comic book stores on February 4, 2026, followed by book stores on March 25.
Jem And The Holograms Kickstarter Launches:
Yesterday, we mentioned that BOOM! would soon be launching a Kickstarter for old Jem and the Holograms comics. Well guess what? It launched!
Titled Jem and the Holograms: Truly Outrageous Comic Collection, the campaign features a four volume set of every Jem comic ever. Though the campaign doesn’t specify, the first Jem comic titled Unit:E launched in 2011, followed by several IDW series and one-shots that ran from 2015-2019. So likely at the very least the IDW titles should be collected in these new volumes.
As of this recording, the campaign has more than doubled its goal of $25,000 and is available to pledge until December 4. BOOM! further teases that a new Jem comic will kick off some time in 2026.
