Marvel ends Ultraman.

New 52 Catwoman gets an omnibus.

Near mint copy of Superman #1 hits auction.

This is Comic Book Club News for November 4, 2025.

Marvel Ends Ultraman With Final Series:

Marvel is consciously uncoupling from its association with Ultraman, with a one-shot titled The Fall of Ultraman hitting stores next year.

First kicking off in 2020 with The Rise of Ultraman, the stories have continued through multiple miniseries including a crossover with the Avengers. But now, the collabo with Tsuburaya Productions is dunzo.

The one-shot is written by Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom, with art by Davide Tinto. And as Groom teased via press release, this is how they outlined the end of the saga, way back when they first pitched the series to Marvel. In it, Ultraman and team get a glimpse of a future without Ultraman, and have to decide whether to follow that path… Or not. I’m guessing they do based on the title, but we’ll see.

The Fall of Ultraman #1 hits stores on February 11, 2026.

New 52 Catwoman Gets An Omnibus:

DC’s New 52 Catwoman is getting an omnibus.

Per ICv2, the 736-page hardcover will include 26 issues of the titular run that kicked off in 2011, as well as a Catwoman annual, Batman and Catwoman #22, Batman: The Dark Knight #23.4, and a story in the New 52 Valentine’s Day special, Young Romance.

The original run was written by Judd Winick with art by Guillem March. It drew a fair amount of controversy for the first issue after an article on Comics Alliance that took both the first issues of Catwoman and Red Hood and the Outlaws to task for their over-sexualization of female characters… Particularly a rooftop sex scene that ended Catwoman #1, between Batman and Catwoman that was slammed for being “fanservice.”

You can see how you feel about it, 15 years later, when the omnibus hits stores on March 10, 2026.

CGC 9.0 Rated Copy Of Superman #1 Hits Auction:

A near mint copy of Superman #1 is about to hit auction, with the possibility of being one of the biggest comic book sales of all time.

Per Bleeding Cool, the issue was found by three brothers looking through their mom’s belongings in the attic. Alongside other books, this one was graded 9.0 from the CGC, making it the highest graded copy of Superman #1 on record. Of note, perhaps, this is not the debut of Superman. That was in Action Comics #1. It instead came out a year later in 1939, and collected the first four issues of Action Comics, alongside other material.

Previously, an 8.5 graded copy of Action Comics #1 sold for $6 million last year, while an at-the-time graded 8.0 Superman #1 which has since been upgraded to 8.5 sold for $5.3 million in 2022.

If you’ve got a few mill hanging around, the proxy bidding is open until November 20, with the auction held in New York City from November 20, through November 22.
