The Punisher Returns In New Ongoing Series:
Following up on Marvel’s Punisher: Red Band series, Frank Castle is getting a new, ongoing regular band series titled — what else — The Punisher.
Written by Benjamin Percy with art by José Luis Soares, Frank is dealing with the events of the red band series, and fighting a newly returned Jigsaw. Teased Percy, “who better to cast as our villain—in a story about Frank picking up the broken, jagged pieces of himself—than one of the greatest Marvel baddies: Jigsaw. Get ready. This is gonna hurt.”
Recently, The Punisher logo saw a renewed bit of controversy with FBI director Kash Patel utilizing the log for “challenge coins,” little medals he gives out for what he considers a job well done. While various militias and extreme law enforcement officials have adopted The Punisher symbol, and Marvel seemingly retired the logo and then the character of Frank Castle for some time in response… Well, they’re both back.
The Punisher #1 hits stores on February 25, 2026.
Grant Morrison Returns To Vertigo Series Sebastian O:
Grant Morrison is returning to Sebastian O, the Vertigo series they co-created with Steve Yeowall.
Per The Beat, Morrison revealed the news in brief in their newsletter, alongside updates on several other comic book projects. The writer merely noted the series’ return, and that thanks to writing on Batman/Deadpool their love of writing comics has been reinvigorated.
The three-issue series originally published in 1993, and was a gender-bending steampunk tale of a flamboyant assassin who tracks down who man imprisoned him for crimes against literature. You know: Morrison stuff.
While it’s fair to assume the new issues of Sebastian O will be at the revived Vertigo imprint, Comic Book Club hears that’s not so — at least, not yet. Vertigo is creator owned work, and at the current time Morrison is doing this reboot of Sebastian O on their own. It’s possible the title could come to DC and Vertigo later — though at this time, Morrison hasn’t shared any schedule or additional info about the project. More on this as it develops.
Dan Slott’s Fantastic Four Gets Omnibuses:
Dan Slott’s run on Fantastic Four is getting multiple omnibuses. Omnibi? I don’t know.
Per ICv2, the first volume will contain 24 issues of the main title and multiple one-shots, including the Wedding Special that found The Thing marrying long-time girlfriend Alicia Masters. In addition to Slott, the first omnibus will also include work by Gail Simone, Gerry Duggan, and Mike Carey.
The whole book will run 832 pages, cost $100, and be released on June 2, 2026. With Slott’s run going up to issue #46, we’ll likely see at least one more omnibus on a TBD release date.
