On today’s episode we’re sharing some highlights from DC’s January 2026 solicits, including DC K.O., Absolute Universe, and more.

This is Comic Book Club News for October 28, 2025.

DC Comics January 2026 Solicit Highlights:

DC K.O. continues in January with issue #3 of the main series, which whittles down the eight remaining contenders to the Final Four. And while covers are no clear indication of how a thing is going to go… Do not look at the covers if you want to remain spoiler-free on who is in the Elite Eight.

The DC K.O. action continues in miniseries Knightfight, as well as a one-shot titled The Kids Are All Fight, which finds Jon Kent babysitting sidekicks and battling Granny Goodness. And Green Lantern Galactic Slam finds Kyle Rayner trapped in an intergalactic wrestling ring battling Omega Bam Man.

In the Absolute Universe, we’re getting the second part of an Absolute Batman/Wonder Woman crossover in Absolute Batman #16. Meanwhile, Absolute Wonder Woman #16 kicks off a new arc featuring Absolute Zatanna. And Absolute Superman features guest art by Juan Ferreyra.

Back in the main universe, Superman Unlimited #9 promises to “redefine the Prankster as one of Superman’s top-tier rogues.” Stephanie Williams and Jeff Spokes hop into Wonder Woman #29 for a two-issue arc featuring an Amazonian adventure in babysitting. Don’t worry, Tom King and Daniel Sampere will be back — and in fact, King and Mitch Gerads, among others, team up for stories in the Wonder Woman: Black & Gold 2026 Special.

Cheetah & Cheshire Rob the Justice League reaches its conclusion with issue #6. Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 also wraps up with issue #7. And while not in the solicits, Batman #163, aka the finale of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee’s H2SH, is supposed to release on January 28, 2026 — with the trade collection planned for March 31, 2026.

For Comic Book Club News, I’m Alex Zalben. And if you do want spoilers, because I was being a bit of a tease: Superman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Aquaman, Joker, Cyborg, Guy Gardner, and Zatanna. There you go.
