Lee Pace Is Viltrumite Emperor Thragg In ‘Invincible’ Season 4

When you’re looking for someone to play an evil space emperor, it’s good to get an actor with experience. Thankfully, Prime Video’s Invincible has found the perfect guy, as just announced at the series’ New York Comic Con panel: Lee Pace, who will voice Viltrumite Emperor Thragg.

If you need a little more context, it’s that Pace previously played Day, one of three cloned versions of Emperor Cleon on Apple TV+’s excellent Foundation. Now that it seems like he’s wrapped that up, he’s moved on to his next gig, playing the Big Bad of the Invincible Universe.

Thragg has thus far not been seen on the show, but per his name he’s the ruler of the Viltrumite Empire, aka the insanely strong aliens who are looking to conquer the universe. As we discovered in Season 3, there are less than 50 of them left — meaning Invincible (Steven Yeun), Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons) and others may have a fighting chance.

…But they’ve never met Thragg, who is the biggest and baddest bad guy they’ve got. Think they’re up to the challenge? We’ll find out when Season 4 premieres in March of 2026.
