Jed MacKay, who previously wrote 30 issues (and an annual) for Marvel’s Moon Knight, nine issues of Vengeance of the Moon Knight, and is currently writing Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu for the publisher, has snagged a new gig. As announced at Marvel’s Retailers Panel at New York Comic Con, he’s been named the writer of Marc Spector: Moon Knight, starting in February.
While Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu has been solicited through December with issue #15, it seems likely the issue drawn by Domenico Carbone and [checks notes] written by Jed MacKay will be the last; or possibly the month after, in January.
Either way, Mac Spector: Moon Knight #1 will launch in February, per ICv2, featuring art by Devmalya Pramanik who previously worked for Marvel on titles such as Vengeance of the Moon Knight and Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu.
A promotional variant cover was shared with retailers by artist E.M. Gist, who has actually never worked on Moon Knight before which, given the circumstances, is pretty weird.
