Are you ready to join the Bat-Fam? The spinoff/continuation of the hit Prime Video animated movie Merry Little Batman is headed to New York Comic Con 2025. And in advance of the panel appearance, Warner Bros. Animation (and Prime) has released the key art for the series.
Taking place after the events of Merry Little Batman, Damian Wayne (Yona Kibreab) has taken on the mantle of Little Batman. And in Bat-Fam, he, along with Batman (Like Wilson) and Alfred (James Cromwell) are welcoming a few more folks to Wayne Manor. Those include, per PR, “Alicia Pennyworth, Alfred’s free-spirited grandniece; Claire, a recently reformed Super-Villain; Ra’s al Ghul, Damian’s adoring ‘Pap Pap’ who also happens to be Batman’s longtime nemesis; and Man-Bat, who takes up residence in the Wayne Manor belfry. Oh! And let’s not forget Selina, the beloved family cat. This close-knit family of misfits navigate the fun and frustrations of ordinary life while protecting the streets of Gotham City. Prepare for nonstop action, big heart, and hilarious chaos!”
Alicia Pennyworth will be voiced by London Hughes, Michael Benyaer is Ra’s al Ghul, Bobby Moynihan is Man-Bat, and Haley Tju is Claire Selton/Volcana. As for the panel, it’ll be held Saturday, October 11 at 12:30pm ET in Room 405 at the Javits Center, Moynihan, Hughes, and Kibreab joining showrunner/EP Mike Roth for a Q&A and sneak peek at the series.
Bat-Fam will stream in Prime Video in November — could an exact date be forthcoming at the panel? — on Prime Video. The series was developed by Mike Roth and Jase Ricci, and Sam Register is also EP. Curiously, Morgan Evans, who co-wrote/co-created Merry Little Batman and wrote the excellent spinoff comic Merry Little Batman: Month One for DC Comics, does not seem to be involved in Bat-Fam.
