DC And Marvel Crossovers Continue In 2026 With ‘Superman/Spider-Man’ And ‘Spider-Man/Superman’

50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1

If you were a sleuthy comic book fan who noticed two major comic book characters missing from Marvel and DC‘s first crossover comics in decades… Well, give yourself an extra shot of whiskey and some additional time morosely staring at the picture of your dead wife while you idly play with your wedding ring*. Because DC and Marvel are indeed teaming up again in 2026, and so are Spider-Man and Superman.

Timed out to the 50th anniversary of the classic Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of The Century, which was written by Gerry Conway with art by Ross Andru, DC will publish two oversized Treasury Editions, measuring 10 1/8″ by 13 5/16″. First, on January 7, 2026, will be Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1. Then a month later on February 4, DC will print a facsimile titled DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1, which is a reprint of Marvel Treasury Edition #28, written by Jim Shooter and Marv Wolfman, with art by John Buscema.

That’s just the start, as in March, DC will publish Superman/Spider-Man #1, and in April, Marvel will publish Spider-Man/Superman #1. Like with the previous Deadpool and Batman crossover issues, these will feature a title bout and other stories featuring additional team-ups, with creative teams to be announced by the end of this year.

And as for beyond that? Fans have also noticed that, for the most part, the X-Men and Teen Titans, who met in another iconic crossover, have been missing from the previous issues. And beyond that, 2026 is the thirtieth anniversary of the Amalgam Crossover, which smashed the DC and Marvel universes together, literally, for a series of brand-new mashup characters.

So is there more Marvel and DC madness to come? Time for one last case, comic book sleuths. In the meantime, you can check out the cover and an interior page from the first facsimile issue below.

*This is how sleuths celebrate.
