One of the big running throughlines of Prime Video’s Gen V is that Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) was separated from her sister Annabeth after Marie accidentally killed their parents. Marie has spent a full season and a half searching for Annabeth, only finding clues for where she is not, instead of where she is… Until now. Spoilers past this point, but in the latest episode of the show, we finally met Annabeth Moreau, played by actress Keeya King. Only to watch her die. And then, in another shocker, we watch her get resurrected by Marie.
Here’s a broad overview of how things went down. In the episode, the Gen V kids are captured by Cipher (Hamish Linklater) while they’re trying to break Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips) out of Elmira Prison. They’re imprisoned — again — themselves, and while there Cipher not only takes Marie to the door where Andre (Chance Perdomo) died, but also reveals he has Annabeth imprisoned as well. The goal here seems to be Cipher’s goal the whole season: to motivate Marie to do, well, something.
The kids figure out how to break out, thanks to Cate’s malfunctioning powers, but Marie isn’t leaving with Annabeth. Only problem, she’s on the floor of her cell with her throat slit.

Marie freaks out and pushes her blood powers harder than she ever has before. The blood gets sucked back into Annabeth, her throat heals, and she gasps, alive. So yeah, as we sort of saw in Season 1, it seems like Marie doesn’t just have the power to control blood, she can also heal bodies and even resurrect people… Making her potentially one of, if not the most powerful character in The Boys universe.
As for Annabeth — well, we don’t get a lot out of her other than a gasp, but clearly there’s more to come now that the Moreau sisters are reunited. The big question is how Annabeth feels about not just Marie having powers, but that the emergence of her powers killed their parents. Can Annabeth forgive her? And does Annabeth have powers of her own? We’ve got three more episodes in the season to find out.
Who Plays Annabeth On Gen V? Meet Keeya King
Actress Keeya King, who plays Annabeth Moreau, is probably best known for her role as Teen Akilah on Showtime’s Yellowjackets. She also played Violet on Van Helsing, Jordan Moore on The CW’s Batwoman, and Jenna on one episode of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale.
You can join King’s 20.2k followers on Instagram, where she teased her Gen V role a few weeks back.
