New Comics This Week: Full Comics List For October 1, 2025

It’s finally the spookiest month of the year, and there’s nothing scarier than [vampire voice] new comic books. So let’s talk about what’s hitting stores on October 1, 2025, starting with some highlights.

DC Comics has a big week, including Absolute Evil #1, which brings together the villains of the DC Universe. Justice League: The Omega Act Special #1 is the prelude to the next mainline universe event, DC K.O. #1. And the beloved YA series Gotham Academy returns with First Year #1.

Over at Marvel, X-Men: Age of Revelation Overture #1 sends the X-Men to — get this — a dark, alternate future. Spirits of Violence #1 brings together all the Ghost Riders. And guess who’s back? Knull is back in Venom #250.

Oni Press brings on Adventure Time: The Bubbline College Special #1, an AU by Caroline Cash. Dark Horse’s Minor Threats: The Last Devil Left Alive #1 launches the beginning of the end for Playtime. And nothing’s gonna stop IDW now with Starship Godzilla #1.
