First introduced in 2019, the final chapter of Alice Oseman’s Heartstopper will finally hit bookstores this July. Specifically, the long-awaited publication date for Heartstopper Volume 6 will be July 2, 2026, in the UK and Ireland by Hodder Children’s Books, while Scholastic will publish the book in the US and Canada in both hardcover and paperback on July 7, 2026. In addition, Scholastic will also release a box set featuring all six volumes on August 4, 2026.
“It truly is the end of an era,” Oseman said via press release. “I have worked on Heartstopper, in one way or another, for the best part of a decade. What started as a fun side project has become something bigger than I could ever possibly have imagined. It has been a dream come true to watch fans across the globe accept Nick, Charlie, and the whole gang into their hearts. I’m blown away to see how this love story has positively impacted, and been embraced by, so many people and I hope we can see that joy continue, even after we close this final chapter. I just can’t wait for everyone to read it in July!”
In the sixth volume, Nick and Charlie are together and going strong. But with Nick getting ready to leave for college, and Charlie focused on trying to become head boy, what might they become without each other?
While this is the end of the road for the moment for the tale of Heartstopper in graphic novel form, there’s still more of the world to come. Netflix’s live-action adaptation will conclude in 2026 with a movie version of the sixth volume and a Nick and Charlie novella, titled Heartstopper Forever.
