Marvel Zombies has arrived on Disney+, and it has a packed voice cast over the course of the four episodes that dropped today. And while some of them are familiar from the MCU, others are accomplished voice actors subbing in for their live-action counterparts. So who is who in the Marvel Zombies voice cast?
Great news, we’re about to tell you! And that includes the extensive cast for all four episodes, including some unannounced surprises and pretty deep cut returns from the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, taking all that in mind, let’s break down who is chum for the undead superheroes who have conquered this particular part of the MCU multiverse, from Wanda Maximoff and Yelena Belova to Spider-Man and Blade Knight.
Oh, and for ease of use, let’s talk about who is in the live-action MCU and voiced roles in this series first… And then we can follow it up with the voice cast who is not from the MCU.
Marvel Zombies: Who’s Who In The Voice Cast From The MCU, From Wanda Maximoff To Yelena Belova?
Iman Vellani returns as Kamala Khan, after appearing in Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. Dominique Thorne is also back as Riri Williams from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Ironheart. And Hailee Steinfeld rounds out the Young Avengers trio, reprising her role from Hawkeye and a brief scene in The Marvels. Kerry Condon is also back as the voice of F.R.I.D.A.Y. after playing the role in five different MCU movies, as well as some sort of experience type thing on the Disney Wish cruise line.
Moving over to the Thunderbolts — sorry, New Avengers — Florence Pugh is indeed back as Yelena Belova, from Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Thunderbolts*. David Harbour also returns as Red Guardian, as seen in Black Widow and Thunderbolts*. And Wyatt Russell briefly voices John Walker from Thunderbolts* and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Then there’s what isn’t called the Agents of Atlas, but certainly could be, as Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) from WandaVision, Ant-Man and the Wasp and Quantumania pals around with Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) and Katy Chen (Awkwafina), both from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
The biggest surprise for fans (maybe) is that Elizabeth Olsen makes her triumphant return as Wanda Maximoff, called The Red Queen on the show, the leader of the zombie army. Olsen has appeared in a ton of MCU properties, starting with an end credits scene on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, through Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Less surprising but still nice is Paul Rudd reprising his role as Scott Lang, albeit as a floating head instead of as Ant-Man, as in the three Ant-Man movies, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame.
Tessa Thompson is also back as Valkyrie, after appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, Thor: Love and Thunder, Endgame, and The Marvels.
F. Murray Abraham, who was kicked off Apple TV+’s Mythic Quest for sexual misconduct, is back in action as Khonshu from Moon Knight, and may we say: yuck!
From Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Daniel Swain reprises his role as London Master, Sheila Atim is Sara Wolfe, and Adam Hugill is once again Rintrah, the literally bull-headed mystic.
And wrapping up our “as previously seen in the MCU” portion of the program, Zenobia Shroff returns as Kamala’s mamala Muneeba Khan, after appearances in Ms. Marvel and The Marvels.
Marvel Zombies: Who’s Who In The Voice Cast Not From The MCU, From Spider-Man To Blade Knight?
So, who is pinch-hitting on Marvel Zombies? Meaning, which voice actors are subbing in for the MIA MCU stars?
Danai Gurira is not voicing Zombie Okoye on the show. Instead, the honor of playing Wanda’s second-in-command goes to Kenna Ramsey, who previously voiced the Dora Milaje on What If…?
After years of anticipation, Mahershala Ali is… Not voicing Blade Knight on the show. Instead, it’s Todd Williams, who previously played Officer Isaac Joiner on The Chicago Code. Superhero fans may know him as Green Lantern John Stewart on Batwheels, or as the voice of Titan on Prime Video’s Invincible.
Rachel Weisz is also not back as Melina Vostokoff, who is voiced by veteran voice actress Kari Wahlgren. She has an insanely deep filmography, but to sum up some highlights, previously voiced the character on What If…?, May Parker on Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and Rose Gilberti on X-Men ’97.
Tony Leung played Xu Wenwu in Shang-Chi, but on Marvel Zombies, the voice is handled by Feodor Chin, who also did the voice on What If…? Daniel Brühl also gets subbed out for the role of Baron Zemo, which is voiced by Rama Vallury. While Vallury has done a ton of voice work, including Jeff The Land Shark on Spidey and his Amazing Friends, he previously voiced Baron Zemo on X-Men ’97.
Peter Parker / Spider-Man is not Tom Holland, as seen on screen, but rather Hudson Thames, who voiced the role way back in 2021 on What If…?, and then again in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Thor ain’t Chris Hemsworth, either… It’s Greg Furman. In a rare switch, Hemsworth did voice Thor previously in What If…?, but not for Marvel Zombies. Furman, meanwhile, has previously done voices for Call of Duty, and guest-starred on an episode of The Goldbergs.
There’s one last trio we should talk about. Isaac Robinson-Smith, who voices Bishop on X-Men ’97, is the voice of Rick. Debra Wilson, who has previously voiced Dora General on Eyes of Wakanda and is Amanda Waller on My Adventures With Superman is Denise. And former Attack of the Show host Alison Haislip is Sandra. Oh, to be a fly on that wall!
