On today’s episode, we’re looking through the highlights from the Marvel December 2025 solicits, including Ultimate Endgame and much more.
This is Comic Book Club News for September 22, 2025.
Marvel December 2025 Solicit Highlights:
December is a huge month for Marvel’s Ultimate Universe, as two years of storytelling that found The Maker, the evil Reed Richards, locked in a prison with a countdown clock, have all led to this. “This” being Ultimate Endgame, a five-issue series that finds The Maker breaking free and taking on whatever heroes have struggled to survive in the broken world. That’s right at the end of the month, but before that we’ll get the Ultimate Universe: Two Years In special, which sets the stage for Endgame. The Wasp betrays the team in Ultimates #19. And Ultimate Spider-Man #24 is the FINAL issue of Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto’s run.
Speaking of alternate universes and endgames, the X-Men event Age of Revelation also wraps up its three-month run in December with 16 different three-issue series ending, and the oversized one-shot X-Men: Age of Revelation Finale #1 doing the ol’ tee up of what happens next.
The most curious entry in the solicits, though? Sorcerer Supreme #1, which picks up in the aftermath of One World Under Doom and finds a new character becoming a “rogue Sorcerer Supreme.” Marvel isn’t just holding back on the identity of the new magician, though; they’ve credited the book to “Writer M,” “Artist M,” and even classified two variant covers. That’s pretty mysterious… Unless you look at Marvel’s website, which lists the book as being written by Steve Orlando, with art by Bernard Chang. With Steve Orlando currently shepherding the adventures of Scarlet Witch through various miniseries… Well, maybe not so mysterious after all.
Other highlights? A new Doctor Strange #1 from Derek Landy and Ivan Fiorelli that finds Stevie teaming up with Angela. Wiccan: Witches’ Road, a five-issue miniseries that finds the Young Avenger traveling the Road to save Hulking’s life. Hulk Smash Everything, another five-issue miniseries from Ryan North that does what the title says. Black Panther: Intergalactic is a four-issue miniseries spinning out of the Imperial event. And the Marvel Winter Break Special is another swimsuit special, but chillier.
