This is Comic Book Club News for August 19, 2025.

DC Comics November 2025 Solicits Highlights:

Not to be confused with Marvel’s Deadpool/Batman, DC’s big title of the month is Batman/Deadpool, featuring a main story by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora, alongside mashup backups from Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, G. Willow Wilson, and more.

That’s not the only big event, though, as the clash of the titans continues in DC K.O. #2, which finds 32 heroes competing in a death match to see who can take on Darkseid. The action spills over into multiple other titles, including Knightfight, which pits Batman against alternate universe Robins who have also become Batman. Plus, new issues of Superman, Justice League Unlimited, The Flash, and Titans tie in, as well.

Over in the Absolute Universe, Batman and Catwoman face down Bane in Absolute Batman #14. Ra’s al Ghul attacks Kansas in Absolute Superman #13. And Matías Bergara provides guest art for Absolute Wonder Woman #14.

Back in the main universe, Ivy and Janet from HR have it out in Poison Ivy #38. Batman: Dark Patterns #12 finishes the critically acclaimed series from Dan Watters and Hayden Sherman. Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #6 is another final issue, as the three Trinitys try to return time-lost corgis and bring their father — Steve Trevor — back to life. And yet another finale, The New Gods #12 brings the cosmic epic from Ram V and Evan Cagle to a close.

You want team-ups? Here are some team-ups. Batman/Static: Beyond #1 teams up the two heroes in a cyberpunk future in this Elseworlds series. And Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia is a Black Label series from Gabriel Hardman that sends the trio on a collision course while investigating an ecological mystery.

Other highlights? Sure, why not! Erica Henderson writes and draws Harley and Ivy: Life and Crimes, a new series that is all about the duo’s relationship, from the very start. Justice League Red #4 has a classic “cover redacted,” so you know stuff’s about to go down. JSA #13 kicks off a “JSA Year One” arc featuring art by Gavin Guidry.
