The New Gods #9 Official Synopsis:
The New Gods find themselves assimilating as Earth’s new residents, but this transition is not without its difficulties. The New Gods and the Justice League have all set their sights on young Kamal, the newest New God, destined to someday become the Steed prophesied by the Source. While these benevolent forces attempt to find the right path to lead this child down, malicious entities from Earth and beyond attempt a power grab — and the DC Universe may never be the same again.
