Ultimate Ronin Arrives In Ultimate Hawkeye One-Shot:
Ultimate Hawkeye #1 will focus on the titular archer, Charli Ramsey. But that’s far from the only identity of the mainline Hawkeye who will show up in the issue… Enter, Ultimate Ronin.
Written by Taboo — from the Black Eyed Peas — and B. Earl, with art by Michael Sta. Maria, and featuring a framing story from Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri, the one-shot will send Hawkeye up against Exterminatrix, who made her debut in Ultimates #14.
Per PR from the publisher, “In their ongoing quest to take down Roxxon, the company who ravaged their community, Hawkeye will go undercover into Exterminatrix’s twisted world where they’ll witness the darkest depths that Earth-6160 has to offer. In order to escape the madness, Hawkeye will have to confront a formidable opponent who they share an eerie connection with—the all-new ULTIMATE RONIN!”
Start your guesses as to the identity of the Ultimate Ronin. Ultimate Hawkeye #1 will hit stores on September 24.
Guillem March’s Karmen Gets Collected:
Guillem March’s beautiful, magical realist series Karmen is getting a new trade paperback collection from Image Comics. And if you missed it the first time around? Do not miss it when it hits stores later this year.
Trigger warning past this point, but Karmen is about Catalina, a woman who died by suicide, and is “taken under the wing of the quirky and mysterious angel, Karmen, on a journey of discovery and reflection.” It’s a darkly comic, gorgeously drawn book that deals with life, death, and everything in between. And in case the subject matter wasn’t clear, it’s also pervaded with nudity, so this is definitely for adults only.
Karmen was originally published in Belgium by Dupuis in graphic novel form, then released as single issues by Image Comics, and then collected into a deluxe hardcover. Now, fans will be able to get a paperback version of the book on November 19 in comic book stores and on December 2 in book stores.
Mike Mignola And Jesse Lonergan’s Miss Truesdale Returns:
You can’t keep a good Victorian lady sent back in time to inhabit the body of an ancient gladiator down. And so Mike Mignola and Jesse Lonergan’s Miss Truesdale is back in Miss Truesdale and the Rise of Man from Dark Horse Comics.
The four-issue series is written by Mignola, with art, colors, and covers by Lonergan, alongside letters from Clem Robins. In the new series, Miss Truesdale once again is sent into her past life as Anum Yassa, this time wandering the forest as a dark entity is on her tail — threatening the past, present and future of mankind.
Said Mignola, “My ending the Hellboy world (sort of) in the B.P.R.D. series, I now find myself fascinated by the very beginnings of it. Miss Truesdale and the Rise of Man is not a story I would even attempt to tell without the storytelling genius of Jesse Lonergan. For me, coming up with the story was a rollercoaster of strange surprises and Jesse has made it even stranger, more beautiful than I could have imagined. This is the deepest dive yet into the world and how it all works.”
Miss Truesdale and the Rise of Man #1 hits stores on December 10, 2025.
