Jason Kelce And ‘Goosebumps’ Illustrator Tim Jacobus Team Up On ‘Garage Fear’ Comic, Beer

Garage Fear

Tim Jacobus, the legendary illustrator known for his over 300 Goosebumps covers and illustrations, is headed to the garage with Jason Kelce. Specifically, Garage Beer for a new takeover of the Kelce-fronted beer line for a campaign called Garage Fear that includes a comic book, an animated short, and of course, themed beer cans.

In the campaign, which will take over limited-edition 12-packs of Garage Beer (both original and lime), Jacobus depicts Garage Beer co-owner Jason Kelce being menaced by a “bloodied, masked companion” who may or may not also be named Jason. Probably not for legal reasons, though.

Alongside the beer, there’s also an adult comic book titled Garage Fear: The Cursed Can, which is limited to 100 copies and will be available this month, only on sale through Garage Beer’s merch site. In the comic, the last beer is up for grabs in Jason Kelce’s garage — but unfortunately for him, monsters invade and chaos ensues.

“It was a blast to take the classic, oozing, slimed cover formula and conjure up a nightmare where Jason Kelce is fighting for the last beer while defending the haunted garage!” said Jacobus via press release. “Totally ridiculous concept… but, I can honestly say, I’ve been in worse places to get a beer!”

And if all that wasn’t enough, there will be a an animated adult short featuring both Kelce brothers released in September, 11×17 posters available of Jacobus’ original art, and even a Garage Fear pop-up haunted house in St. Louis, Missouri at Field of Screams.

Also to note, the Garage Fear takeover doesn’t include new flavors; it’s the regular Garage Beer with 95 calories, 4% ABV, and, as mentioned, comes in original or lime. Missed opportunity to make a Gose-bumps variety, but you can’t win ’em all.
