Pretty much since Marvel announced Imperial, the four-issue series by Jonathan Hickman, Iban Coello and Federico Vicentini, the publisher has been pretty open about the idea being to launch a new cosmic line of comics out of the event. And now, thanks to the Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, we know what five of those ongoing series will be titled: Planet She-Hulk, Nova Centurion, Black Panther: Intergalactic, Exiles, and Imperial Guardians.
First up is Planet She-Hulk, which is written by Stephanie Phillips with art by Aaron Kuder. In it, Shulkie will use her “brains and brawn” to keep order on the planet Sakaar.
“I’m so excited,” Phillips said via press release. “Working with Aaron is so exciting, it’s fantastic. [For Planet She-Hulk], think big game of thrones. Think things not always related to She-Hulk. She’s ripped into a world that she’s not used to, and she has to bring her own sensibilities to it when she’s now facing witches, rebels, and cannibals…it’s going to be great. We wanted to go big. She’s got a giant sword, PLEASE let us use it.”
As for Nova: Centurion, that’s written by Jed MacKay with art by Álvaro López. in it, Richard Rider “does whatever it takes to keep the memory of his people alive amidst the corrupt system now governing the stars.”
And for more on this, here’s a quote from editor Tom Brevoort that was right below Phillips’ quote in the press release, but I don’t think it’s talking about the She-Hulk book. Maybe Nova? Who is to say?
“This is a story that unites all the disparate and separate powers of the galactic portion of the Marvel Universe–the Kree, the Shi’ar, the Skrulls, and more—all in one big science-fiction epic, set up in a series of Russian nesting dolls where in every issue, something is pulled off, and something is revealed behind the thing you just learned the last time out. It’s an all-out cosmic war,” Brevoort said.
As for the other series, per the graphic below, Black Panther: Intergalatic will debut in December, and is likely about Black Panther finally getting around to checking out the Beastie Boys’ discography. And Exiles and Imperial Guardians will debut in Winter 2026, which likely means January and not two Decembers from now.
