There are Too Many Spider-Mans in upcoming issues of Amazing Spider-Man. As already revealed but further teased by Marvel Comics, it seems like the flagship comic will find Spidey splitting in two: one in NYC; the other in space.
After Spider-Man’s currently running battle with the villain Hellgate, somehow there are two Spider-Mans (Spiders-Man?) in the issues. Amazing Spider-Man #13 by Joe Kelly and Pepe Larraz introduces “Spidey and His Cosmic Friends,” including Rocket Raccoon and the adorable symbiote known as Symbie. But as seen on the cover below, there are other folks on this cosmic Spider-Man’s team, which, per PR, “will have a huge impact on Spider-Man and may hold a key to some mysteries that have been brewing!”
Meanwhile, in Amazing Spider-Man #14 by Kelly and Ed McGuinness, it’s back to Earth as we find out who the Goblin Slayer is, and why they’re trying to kill Norman Osborn. Teases Marvel, “With all that Norman has done and could do, SHOULD Spidey stop it?”
