White Tiger Returns To Marvel In New One-Shot, Variant Covers

Marvel’s White Tiger is back in a big way this October to celebrate Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, with a new one-shot and some team-up variant covers.

White Tiger Reborn #1, a Marvel Voices Comunidades special, will feature two stories: one by Daniel José Older and Bruno Abdias; the other by Cynthia Pelayo and Moises Hidalgo.

“While it’s always a deep honor to carry on the legacy that Bill Mantlo and George Pérez began so many years ago, this story feels particularly special, as it marks a major turning point in the decades-long saga of the White Tiger,” Older said via press release. 

Added Pelayo, “As a Puerto Rican author, it is an honor to make my Marvel Comics debut with White Tiger. I’m grateful to be a part of the experience of new audiences, and old, learning about the legacy of the first Latin American, and Puerto Rican, superhero in the history of American comic books.”

In addition to the one-shot, Marvel will also spotlight variants featuring White Tiger teaming up with other Marvel characters throughout October, all by artist J. Gonzo.
