Writer Benito Cereno is currently tearing it up on Skybound’s Blood & Thunder. But before a girl and her gun was Hector Plasm, a ghost hunter created by Nate Bellegarde. And now bustin’ will make him feel good once again with Hector Plasm: Hunt the Bigfoot from Image Comics.

Originally presented as back-up stories in Invincible, the new three-issue miniseries will feature covers by Bellegarde, Hunter, Tom Fowler, and Ryan Ottley with Dave McCaig.

“Of all of my character co-creations, the one I’ve been aching to get back to for the longest time is Hector Plasm, whose stories are the outlet for my love of ghost stories, folklore, and weird fiction,” said Cereno via press release. “The Hector stories I created with Nate Bellegarde are some of the best-loved things I’ve ever done, so I’m incredibly excited to be able to team up with Derek and bring all new Hector adventures into the world.”

Here’s the synopsis:

Hector Plasm has faced all sorts of unquiet spirits in his travels, but a series of murders in a Pacific Northwest town leads him to confront a creature more solid than usual: BIGFOOT! Can Hector track down a beast that doesn’t want to be found, clear his own name, AND save a struggling local business at the same time?

Hector Plasm: Hunt the Bigfoot #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 15.
