It’s a match made in hell as Medieval Spawn is heading to take on Massive-verse character Rogue Sun in October’s Rogue Sun #30 from Image Comics.
Written by Ryan Parrott and Nick Cotton, with art by Abel, Rogue Sun #30 will bring Todd McFarlane’s iconic character to blows with the bearer of the sun stone.
“There are certain moments in life that simply don’t feel real. I was a teenager when Image Comics was launched and I bought every single issue of every single book, but… Spawn was my favorite. The cape. The chains. The spikes. I even made my mom read it. So the fact that Todd MacFarlane is being so insanely generous and letting Medieval Spawn come play in the world of Rogue Sun for an issue… it’s absolutely surreal,” said Parrott via press release. “I’d say it’s a dream come true but that would suggest I was arrogant enough to think this could ever happen.”
While this crossover will be contained in one issue, there’s more news to come: Image teases that Parrott will reveal more during the Massive-Verse panel at SDCC 2025 on Friday at 10 a.m. in room 25ABC, followed by a group signing from Parrott, Cotton, Kyle Higgins, Melissa Flores, and Brian Buccellato after the panel for at the Image booth (#1915) at 3 p.m.
Rogue Sun #30 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 8. Check out the covers and synopsis below:
