The Marvel Art of Tyler Kirkham will hit Kickstarter soon, featuring a look at the gorgeous covers and interiors from the iconic artist. But if you’re wondering what art is so good that it can hit the cover of Clover Press’s edition, Comic Book Club has your exclusive first look.
“I am extremely excited to announce my official art book with Marvel Comics and Clover Press,” said Kirkham via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “It represents a comprehensive collection of my artwork for Marvel over the years, encompassing hundreds of covers and interior pages. I’m honored to have a book of this scale and quality coming out and I can’t wait for people to see it!”
Continuing a series of volumes focusing on artists including Mike Allred, Russell Dauterman, David Mack, and more, the Tyler Kirkham book will include his work on everything from Mike Carey’s Ultimate Fantastic Four, Greg Pak’s X-Men: Phoenix Warsong, and Stuart Moore’s New Avengers/Transformers, to covers for Nick Spencer and Marcelo Ferreira’s Amazing Spider-Man, Charles Soule and Steven Cummings’s Star Wars: Crimson Reign, and Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman’s Venom.
And in fact, that Venom takes center stage in the cover for the book, which you can see below:
But wait, that’s not all! Venom (another look) also features on the dust jacket for the volume. And a slipcase shakes things up with an extremely bloody, bruised, and beaten Moon Knight.
The 200-page, 9″ by 12″ The Marvel Art of Tyler Kirkham art book will hit Kickstarter soon, alongside 11″ x 17″ prints, stickers, and more.
