Looking for a slew of new comics to pick up from DC Comics in March 2025? Then you’ve come to the right place, friendo.
This month, the Absolute Universe line nearly doubles in size — and as a note, while normally we’d put Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman, and Absolute Wonder Woman on here, in this case we’re leaving ’em off to make room for the new guys.
Those are far from the only big debuts though, as the legendary team of Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb returns to Batman, and Sonic the Hedgehog gets in the game, as well.
Here are our picks for the must-buy DC Comics in March, 2025, presented in chronological release order.
1. Secret Six #1

Release Date: March 5, 2025
Nicole Maines keeps on the Dreamer beat, this time teaming the hero up with a mix of heroes and villains for a sure to be good time at the old comic shop. Their mission? Find Amanda Waller.
2. Absolute Flash #1

Release Date: March 19, 2025
Jeff Lemire and Nick Robles present a very different Flash: Wally West, younger than usual, without any other Flash family members. What else has changed? You’ll just have to speed on over to your comic book store to find out.
3. Superman: The Last Days Of Lex Luthor #2

Release Date: March 19, 2025
It’s been a looooong time but the series by Mark Waid and Bryan Hitch finally returns, this time with a Black Label on the front. Per the title, Lex Luthor is dying, and only Superman can save him. Will he?
4. DC x Sonic The Hedgehog #1

Release Date: March 19, 2025
Later this year we’re getting DC versus Marvel, round two. But first? The DCU teams up with Team Sonic in this wild-sounding crossover miniseries, that is also spinning off into a clothing line (because of course it is). Note: you don’t have to read the clothes to follow the story. Probably.
5. Batman #158

Release Date: March 26, 2025
H2SH — pronounced like Kung Fu Panda saying “skadoosh” — has arrived. Decades later, Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb return to finish their Hush storyline with six issues that promise to break and redefine Batman. Lee is drawing all six issues, and the team promises they’ll return for an additional six at a later date.
6. Absolute Martian Manhunter #1

Release Date: March 26, 2025
They say you shouldn’t pick your favorite children, but this is maybe my personal most anticipated comic of the year so far, DC or not. Deniz Camp and Javier Rodríguez team up to redefine J’onn J’onnz for the Absolute Universe, and what we’ve seen so far looks insane.
7. Wonder Woman #19

Release Date: March 26, 2025
After 19 issues, Tom King and Daniel Sampere put a close to their story of WW versus The Sovereign. This has been building in intensity for nearly two years now, and it’ll be exciting to see how — or if — they stick the landing.
8. Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante / Eagly Double Feature #1

Release Date: March 26, 2025
Along with creative consultant James Gunn, this double feature presents two linked stories of Peacemaker and Vigilante that picks up after Season 1 of the series, and ends before Season 2. HOWEVER. It is not in the continuity of the show, but rather, inspired by the show — pure speculation here, but likely so that the entire nerd press doesn’t analyze it to death when Peacemaker eats a slice of pizza or whatever, and then in Season 2 says “no thank you” when someone offers him a slice of pizza. Anyway, great creative teams on this, so it should be fun.
9. Harley Quinn Fartacular: Silent Butt Deadly #1

Release Date: March 26, 2025
I’m sorry: this is funny, and you all need to shut up. And yes, it is scratch and sniff.
