Dynamite’s ‘Sweetie Candy Vigilante’ To Cross Over With Flaming Carrot

Dynamite‘s comedy series Sweetie Candy Vigilante is getting a special visitor this December… Flaming Carrot, the iconic comic book character created by Bob Burden. And not only that, Burden himself is drawing a cover for the issue.

Flaming Carrot was first introduced back in 1984, at the cusp of the absurd comic book character trend that lead to characters like Cerberus and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And in fact, the last time Flaming Carrot crossed over in a comic was with TMNT, way back in 1993-1994. 30 years later, Flaming Carrot is crossing over once again, this time for Sweetie Candy Vigilante #6.

Written by Suzanne Cafiero with art by Thiago Vale, the issue reveals the back story between Sweetie and Santa Claus. It also serves as a finale to this volume of the series, and a setup for the next.

Dynamite also promises the crossover won’t be relegated to the cover of the issue… Flaming Carrot appears in the story, as well. Additional covers for the issue are by John Royle, Jeff Zornow, and Yonami. Check them out below.
