Top 11 Marvel Comics For June 2024

Best Marvel Comics June 2024

Marvel Comics June 2024 is a big one. While they wrap up the X-Men’s Krakoa era at the top of the month, they’re teeing up a brand new era in July. Meanwhile, Blood Hunt continues, and only gets bloodier.

Those highlights include a huge issue of She-Hulk, a Giant-Size issue of Daredevil, and several Spider-Mans. Plus, Jason Aaron takes on Uncle Scrooge, something I don’t think anyone predicted. With that in mind, here are our picks for the top 11 Marvel Comics in June 2024, presented in release date order.

1. X-Men #35

X-Men #35

Release Date: June 5, 2024

It’s the end of an era and the beginning of a new one in this issue, legacy numbered X-Men #700. Featuring an array of artists and writers, this oversized issue wraps up Krakoa and teases what’s next once the X-Men return under the hand of editor Tom Brevoort in July.

2. The Ultimates #1

The Ultimates #1

Release Date: June 5, 2024

Deniz Camp and Juan Frigeri take on the Ultimate Universe’s version of the Avengers, rounding out a line that has been dominating comics sales. Will it be “edgy” like the original Ultimates? Or something weirder and more sci-fi-inflected, per Camp’s M.O.?

3. Ms. Marvel: Mutant Menace #4

Ms. Marvel: Mutant Menace #4

Release Date: June 5, 2024

The team of Sabir Pirzada, Iman Vellani, and Scott Godlewski has been crushing it on this title. And here they’ll wrap up their take on Kamala Khan before passing the baton to the NYX team.

4. X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse #1

X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse #1

Release Date: June 12, 2024

Two issues ship this month on a title that weirdly bridges the gap between two X-Men eras. But it seems like a mash-up of Hunger Games with mutants as 12 characters fight to become the ruler of Mars.

5. Scarlet Witch #1

Scarlet Witch #1

Release Date: June 12, 2024

I’m not going to fact-check myself here, but I believe this is the 18th time Steve Orlando has launched a Scarlet Witch #1 in the past two years. Regardless, they’ve all been good, so I shall be seated for this one, as well.

6. Giant-Size Daredevil #1

Giant-Size Daredevil #1

Release Date: June 12, 2024

Unlike some of the Giant-Size issues that have been side to the main title, this is a crucial part of the puzzle Saladin Ahmed has been building in Daredevil, as Kingpin gets super-powers.

7. G.O.D.S. #8

G.O.D.S. #8

Release Date: June 12, 2024

Jonathan Hickman and Valerio Schiti wrap up this title, for now. This has been a weird series that never quite hit the way I think anyone expected. But at the same time, it’s unique, it’s interesting, and the finale is well worth checking out.

8. Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1

Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1

Release Date: June 19, 2024

There is no wilder project from Marvel this month than a Jason Aaron-written Uncle Scrooge book where he battles a multiversal version of himself for control of an all-powerful dime. Can’t wait!

9. The Sensational She-Hulk #9

Sensational She-Hulk #9

Release Date: June 19, 2024

Marvel has been teasing that “the most explosive story in She-Hulk history” begins here. It also looks like the next issue is the last issue, potentially? Help, I’m scared.

10. Thanos Annual

Thanos Annual 2024

Release Date: June 26, 2024

Annual crossovers are back, baby! Thanos heads off in search of the Infinity Stones, only to discover that… They’re people! The Infinity Stones are PEOPLE. Anyway, he probably eats them, let’s see if I’m right.

11. Superior Spider-Man #8

Superior Spider-Man #8

Release Date: June 26, 2024

Seems like this series is going to wrap up its run here with a whole lot of Superior Spider-Mans. Fun!
