Predator: Bloodshed Pits Yautja Versus MMA:

Jordan Morris is making his move from comedy to bloody, bloody hunts with the announcement of Marvel’s new five-issue series Predator: Bloodshed.

Featuring art by Roland Boschi, the series is set in the world of underground fighting, which becomes super-deadly once a Yautja enters the ring… Forcing the fighters to brad together to stop him. Morris is probably best known for his comedy podcasting, but has been making his way in the comic book world over the past few years, leading to a story in Predator: Black, White & Blood.

Said Morris via press release, “I grew up on fighting video games and martial arts movies, so I am of the opinion that an underground fighting tournament is the coolest setting there is. I am so excited for folks to see the Yaujta absolutely wreck shop!”

Predator: Bloodshed #1 hits stores on February 2, 2025.

Pablo Escobar’s Son Publishes Comic Autobiography:

The son of notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar has published a graphic novel autobiography of his life with his father in order to set the record straight.

First reported by El Pais, the now 48-year-old Juan Pablo Escobar has published a book titled Escobar: A Criminal Education in English, which tells of his youth growing up surrounded by caretakers and hitmen. While the story has been told many times before, including on Netflix’s Narcos, the younger Escobar finally wrote about his life because he felt TV depictions were getting things wrong. Said Escobar, “I raise awareness, Netflix glorifies it.”

To be clear, this is not a reevaluation of a beloved father… In fact, Pablo Escobar only appears on the cover and in the last 15 pages. Instead, it finds the author grappling with the lessons his father taught him, the lives his father destroyed, and the spillover into how he impacted the history of Columbia.

The book is on sale now through Norma Editorial.

Comixology Announces Hailstone Sequel:

Get ready to unlock a new/old fear with Devil’s Luck: A Hailstone Story from Comixology, a new series about a “naïve dentist who takes part in a sinister plot to profit from the golden teeth of a mysterious patient.”

Written by Rafael Scavone with art and color by Eduardo Ferigato, the five issue series follows a dentist stuck in a California mining town whose dream becomes a nightmare. Set during the Great Depression, Scavone notes in the release that in order to craft the story, he pulled on his own background as a historian.

Hailstone was previously featured in a comic series of the same name, and is available as a collected volume from both Comixology and Dark Horse Comics.

Devil’s Luck: A Hailstone Story #1 hits Comixology on December 9, 2025.

For Comic Book Club News, I’m Alex Zalben. Pulled, like how a dentist pulls teeth. Eh?
