Zoe Thorogood is already an iconic creator thanks to her breakout It’s Lonely At The Centre Of The Earth, as well as work on Joe Hill’s Rain and Hack/Slash: Back To School. And now she’s teaming up with Joe Whiteford of the band Harley Poe for Image Comics‘s Vampire on Aisle 6. And not only is this a three-issue series, it’s also an album.

“Vampire on Aisle 6 is a comic + album about a self-proclaimed vampire trapped in a mascot-themed grocery store,” said Thorogood via press release. “It’s a story about traumatic change and the isolation that follows. We hope readers/listeners are ready for an unconventional vampire story and understand, that really, It’s All Just Meat.”

Added Whiteford, “Zoe took an idea I’ve had in my head for years and has created a bloody, heart felt, anti-corporate, sexy comic released along side 8 new Harley Poe songs that reveal insight to the story and its characters. It’s a lovely punk rock collaboration of music and art, and it’s definitely not your average vampire tale.”

Vampire on Aisle 6 #1 hits stores on December 23, 2026, with covers by Thorogood and Whiteford. Check them out below, alongside interior pages and the synopsis.

In Vampire on Aisle 6, Luka claims to be a vampire. He’s trapped in a mascot-themed superstore, the sun won’t set for another ten hours, and he’s just made his first kill.

After being bitten by a mysterious man at the end of an unfortunate week, Luka begins experiencing vampiric symptoms including a newfound bloodlust, a shattered reflection, and an unwillingness to go outside. His life begins unravelling.
