This is Comic Book Club News for September 21, 2026.
DC Comics December 2026 Solicits Highlights:
First up, let’s talk about what’s not in December: Absolute Batman. That’s right, the biggest selling title in the comic book industry seems to be taking an extended hiatus after issue #25 in October, as November will see another Ark M special, and December sees nothing. NOTHING!
As for things that are coming out, Absolute Superman ##26 reveals that Superman has abandoned Earth and headed out into space. Absolute Catwoman #6 wraps up the series, and brings Selina up to speed with where we found her in AbsBat. And Absolute Wonder Woman #27 teases another new enemy for Diana.
Back in the main universe, Batman #16 finds Batman trying to solve… The assassination of Bruce Wayne? David Cain is back in Batgirl #26. Poison Ivy hits issue 50, and spoils the end of the Bad Seeds crossover as she’s now powerless and being held in Arkham Towers.
Wonder Woman #40 ends Tom King and Daniel Sampere’s run with a final fight between Diana and The Matriarch. The Flash #40 finds Wally West depowered with a new threat on the horizon. Justice League Unlimited #26 teases a new crisis is coming. And The Doom Patrol #4 features a team-up with Animal Man, which is pretty cool.
The Joker’s Christmas Carol is a 64-page one-shot by Paul Dini and Batman: The Animated Series artist Kevin Altieri which finds The Joker visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve. Hitman: It Was The Nineties Special #1 reunites Garth Ennis and John McCrea for the first Hitman story in 25 years — two stories, actually. And Clayface: Celebrity Dirt wraps up with issue six.
