IDW Releases Delayed By Truck Accident:
If you’re a fan of IDW Publishing, you might have been wondering why they didn’t release any comics on September 2. The reason? A truck accident back in August.
Per ICv2, a truck carrying the September 2 releases from IDW to a Penguin Random House distribution center somehow crashed in a forest off the highway, while en route to Maryland. While happily there were no human injuries, the comics were damaged beyond repair.
After a quick reprinting, IDW will have a larger than usual release slate this Wednesday, September 9, with the four titles delayed from their September 2 debut now hitting this week, in addition to the previously scheduled titles. And if you’re looking for the now rare first printings, they’re potentially lying in a forest somewhere in Maryland.
Ed Brubaker Sued For Sexual And Racial Harassment By Ex-PA On Criminal:
Ed Brubaker has been sued for sexual and racial harassment by an ex-production assistant on Amazon Prime Video’s Criminal, a series based on the Image Comics by Brubaker and Sean Phillips, of which Brubaker was showrunner.
Per The Hollywood Reporter as well as the 28-page filing obtained by Graphic Policy, the PA, Ijaaz Noohu, filed suit on August 31 alleging that Brubaker repeatedly harassed him on the set of the series back in 2023, before being dismissed without a credit in 2024. In the 12-claim complaint, Noohu alleges that Brubaker repeatedly joked about rape, ran his hands through Noohu’s hair and rubbed his back, and directed demeaning racial stereotypes in his direction.
In addition, Noohu claims that Brubaker fired a functional firearm in his face, which was witnessed by a Senior Producer.
Noohu is asking for a jury trial, and as of now neither Brubaker nor Amazon have not responded to the suit. The eight episode Criminal series was filmed back in 2024, and is expected to be released by the end of 2026.
Marvel Goes On The Run With Fugitive X-Force:
Bad news: Marvel is cancelling Inglorious X-Force with issue 10. Good news? The story will continue in Fugitive X-Force, a new five-issue series from writer Tim Seeley and artist Áthila Fabbio.
In the miniseries, Boom-Boom steps up into the lead and takes Archangel, Hellverine and Ms. Marvel on the run after they’ve been framed for a horrific crime. Meanwhile, Domino searches for Cable, and finds out something real bad has happened to the former X-Force leader.
Find out what that is when Fugitive X-Force #1 hits stores on December 9, 2026.
