John Stewart’s In Trouble In ‘Lanterns’ Episode 2 Stills

DC Studios and HBO‘s Lanterns is a certified hit, with 9.3 million viewers in the first three days of release on HBO and HBO Max, beating out previous DC series including The Penguin. So that likely means anticipation is pretty high for this weekend’s second episode, and we’ve got some photos to whet your appetite.

In the new looks, the big one is probably John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) zip-tied to a chair in a seemingly otherwise empty room, an intense look on his face. How he got there, and who put him there, we’ll have to wait and see.

Other photos include Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and his lawyer Billy Macon (Jason Ritter) at what looks like a town hall style meeting, while Sheriff Kerry Kane (Kelly MacDonald) speaks to the crowd. There’s also one of William Macon (Garret Dillhaunt) riding a horse with two dudes backing him up like they rode right off the set of Dutton Ranch.

And then there’s two more intriguing ones… Standing in front of their motel, Hal and John look up in the sky at something, Hal confused, John seemingly pleasantly surprised. And then there’s John sitting and having a cup of coffee with Zoe Macon (Poorna Jagannathan), who he banged last episode and now knows is married to William. So that should be an interesting conversation!
