Dungeon Crawler Carl Crawls Towards Top Of July Graphic Novel Sales:
Dungeon Crawler Carl is crawling its way to the top of the July graphic novel sales charts.
Per ICv2, while Absolute Batman, of course, took the top two slots on the chart for volumes one and two of the blockbuster DC Comics series, Vault’s adaptation of Matt Dinniman’s best-selling novels came in hot at number three. Also popping up on the single issue sales charts, and after a big showing at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it’s clear Carl fever is just getting started.
Otherwise, DC did take 14 slots of the Top 20, with Absolute Universe accounting for eight of those titles, Compact Comics for five, and Batman: Dark Patterns as the lone outlier.
Marvel snagged three slots on the chart last month, all for Spider-Man: Ultimate Spider-Man Vol 4, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day compact collection, and the Marvel Premiere Edition Spider-Men: Worlds Collide, which includes both of Brian Michael Bendis’s Spider-Men series.
Otherwise, Image’s D’Orc Volume 1 charted at number eight, while IDW’s second volume of Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees hit number 13.
Magic X-Men Team Up In X-Orcists:
Grab your pea soup and tell your mother she sucks c**ks in hell because Marvel has announced X-Orcists, a new five issue miniseries teaming up Magik, Goblin Queen and Juggernaut.
Written by Ashley Allen with art by Germán Peralta, Magik is forced to confront an invasion from Limbo, backed up by Juggernaut, Madelyne Pryor, and other characters who may or may not know how to wear clothing as they “battle a major X-Men supervillain whose return could unravel mutant magic forever.”
This marks the third go-around for this team after the 10-issue Magik series, and the five issue Magik & Colossus.
X-Orcsists #1 hits stores on November 18, 2026.
Hellboy Attends The Devil’s Funeral:
You can’t spell “Devil’s funeral” without “fun,” though I guess we don’t know how much fun Hellboy will be having in Hellboy in Hell: Parade of Horrors, a new two-issue series from Dark Horse.
Written by Mike Mignola with art by Márk László, Parade of Horrors will quickly follow on the heels of the previously announced Hellboy in Hell: Nothing But Blood with artist Cyrille Pomès, which hits in October. Then, two short months later, Hellboy goes to the Devil’s funeral, finally answering the question: if the Devil dies in Hell, does he come back to life?
The book also features colors by Dave Stewart, letters by Clem Robins, covers by László, and a variant cover by Mignola on issue 1, and Bridgit Connell on issue 2. Hellboy in Hell: Parade of Horrors #1 hits stores on December 16, 2026.
