Iron Man #8 Official Synopsis:
WHIPLASH’S REVENGE! Tony Stark’s been distracted with his new role as teacher, his new love life, his company and his time as Iron Man hunting for Madame Masque and A.I.M. One of Iron Man’s greatest enemies has resurfaced and wants to turn Tony’s life into a living hell. Whiplash has amplified his whips to hurt Iron Man in brand-new ways… but to really hurt Tony, Whiplash knows he must target the people Tony loves!
