Wytches, the iconic horror comic from Scott Snyder and Jock, is hitting Prime Video… Some time as an animated series, with a second season already in the works. And before that hits the small screen, you can revisit the original comic with Wytches, Vol. 1: Pledged Edition from Image Comics.
Collecting, per PR from the publisher, “Wytches #1-6, Wytches: Bad Egg Halloween Special, material from issue #7 of the Image! anthology, and feature a significant portion recolored to match the upcoming animated TV series.”
“Wytches was a deeply personal book, born out of the real fears I had as an anxious parent. It’s one of my favorite projects, and creating it with Jock made it all the better,” said Snyder via press release. “So I’m incredibly excited to present it again in this new, souped-up edition with all the stories we’ve told over the years collected in one volume. Plus the new colors by Matt Hollingsworth make this the definitive version Jock and I meant to tell. This is a must-buy for any Litchfield fans and those waiting for the TV show!”
Added Jock, “I’m thrilled to see this new expanded edition released—getting the chance to pull together the rarer stories alongside our first major arc will give readers the full Wytches experience as we head into a new, exciting new era of our beloved story!”
Fingers crossed this edition times out well with the series, and isn’t like the new editions of Criminal that Image Comics has been releasing tying into that Prime Video adaptation — which has yet to announce a premiere date.
