‘Bill Sienkiewicz: That Polish Guy’: Watch The First Trailer For The Documentary About The Legendary Artist

As just revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, legendary artist Bill Sienkiewicz is getting his own documentary.

Coming from the guys behind The Legend of Kingdom Come, aka director Remsy Atassi and producer Sal Abbinati, the documentary (which is still being made) will focus on Sienkiewicz’s life and career, as well as being Polish, I guess.

“I’m incredibly excited about the documentary; it’s both humbling and nerve-wracking to see my life’s work splayed out on-screen accompanied by observations by so many of my creative heroes,” said Sienkiewicz via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “But more, I’m excited because the documentary discusses the obsessive need to make art,as part of the unifying human experience, a drive that defies language, place or even medium of choice. That drive is something we all share and I’m proud, in the words of the great Cormac McCarthy, to carry that fire.”

Added Abbinanti, “Bill has been incredibly influential in the comics, film, music, and beyond, and this trailer is a peek into a film that will let everyone experience the depth of his creativity and his untouchable legacy.”

While the full documentary is still in process, you can check out https://billsienkiewiczart.com/pages/that-polish-guy for more info as it develops. Per the release, the film will include interviews with Vincent D’Onofrio, Kevin Smith, Peter Ramsey, Jim Lee, Denys Cowan, “and many more.”
