Unlock DC Turns San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Into A DC Comics And Studios Treasure Hunt

Unlock DC Street Sign

Begun, the San Diego Comic-Con activations have. Just announced today, DC is opening up Unlock DC, a new “digital destination” that brings together info on everything the comics publisher and Studios has going on at this year’s convention, as well as an AR component… And real prizes.

The short version? Head to https://unlockdc.com/ on your mobile device, with the “Unlock DC experience” opening up on July 23, 2026, aka the first official day of SDCC 2026. As for what it is? Per PR provided to Comic Book Club, “Unlock DC serves as the central hub for all to discover DC programming, activations, panels and experiences. The mobile-first web experience brings together DC’s full convention footprint into one destination, making it easier for everyone to navigate everything DC has happening across the convention hall and the city.”

Okay, cool, but to quote the great Jennifer Lawrence on Hot Ones: what do you mean? What that means, J Law, is that throughout the convention center area, there are DC Street Signs that have scannable QR codes. You can scan them to “unlock exclusive offers and discount and earn stars that can be redeemed for a reward from the DC Reward Truck, including an exclusive DC collectible watch.”

However, the DC Reward Truck will be at “just one location per day on Thursday and Friday, the truck won’t stay hidden for long.” So basically, never stop refreshing the app (or waiting for that alert notification). Check out a look at the watch, below, and good luck out there, DC fans!
