Rob Liefeld is playing the hits lately, thanks to his return to Youngblood, Badrock, and more. And now you can add Avengelyne to the mix, as Image Comics has announced the return to the series for this October.
Written by Liefeld, with art by Daniel Mainé, the ’90s comic is also in development for a feature film at Warner Bros.
“Avengelyne is all the way back! Finding a creative partner on par with Daniel Mainé was essential in creating these new adventures,” said Liefeld via press release. “Daniel is blowing me away, a perfect match for our Avengeing Angel! As with all my titles, I wait until the right talent manifests and I wouldn’t be doing this without Daniel, his work is certain to impress!”

Everyone’s favorite Avenging Angel is back! In Avengelyne, a Priest who is losing his faith is challenged by the emergence of a mysterious Angel. Avengelyne’s arrival invites the attention of Belisle, a wealthy demon lord as she is targeted by demonic forces seeking to turn her to their cause.
Basically: Just Imagine… Rob Liefeld’s Spawn and you’ve got the basic idea. Avengelyne #1 will hit stores on October 7 with covers by Diógenes Neves, Shannon Maer, Dan Lawlis, Andy Park, Ben Bradi, and a NSFW cover by Liefeld, you perverts.
