Are you ready to rock? San Diego Comic-Con certainly is, and in advance of the annual pop culture convention, Dark Horse Comics has announced that, working with RedOctane Games, they’ll be releasing a one-shot based on Stage Tour, written by Zoe Tunnell with art by Liana Kangas.
Also featuring covers by Kim Hu, colors by Diana Sousa, and letters by Comicraft’s Tyler Smith, the limited-edition comic will only be available at SDCC as a free bonus with “future Stage Tour hardware bundle pre-orders.”
What does that mean? Great question. Stage Tour is a rhythm game launching later this year that seems to also have light story elements as players form a band together.
“Stage Tour is about bringing people together through the shared experience and love of music,” said Jack Guinchard, Head of Marketing and Brand at RedOctane Games via press release. “Partnering with Dark Horse Comics allows us to expand the world of Stage Tour beyond the game itself, giving fans a fresh new way to connect with its bandmates through something exclusive that they can discover, collect, and share.”
At SDCC, head to Booth #2834 to play an “alpha build” of the game, while the comic will be at the Stage Tour booth and the Dark Horse Comics booth (#2615).
