Pierce Brown’s Red Rising series is headed back to print, after a sold out hardcover run for Dynamite’s Omnibus earlier this year.
Written by Brown and Rik Hoskin, with art by Eli Powell and Kewber Baal, the trilogy of prequel graphic novels were released in February in hardcover and softcover, with the hardcover, per Dynamite, selling out in a little over a week, and 50% of the softcovers selling out in that time, as well.
Set before the Red Rising series proper, the trilogy broaden’s “the narrative for his current fans while also providing a gateway for newcomers in an exhilarating format. Red Rising: Sons of Ares unfolds in a future where humanity has colonized the stars, and an individual’s destiny is determined by their caste color. The Golds hold dominion over all – but what transpires when one of these privileged individuals falls in love with a humble Red? This forbidden romance alters the course of history, with shifting alliances set against a backdrop of upheaval, ultimately leading to the emergence of the powerful Sons of Ares and a transformation of the Rising world that lies ahead!”
Red Rising runs 432 pages, includes all three prequel graphic novels along with character and environmental designs and a cover gallery, as well as a main cover by Toby Cypress. The new printing will hit stores shortly. When? SHORTLY. SOON. GOD.
