Oni Press And EC Comics Sharpen Their Axe On Artists With ‘Artists From The Abyss’

You should check in regularly on your local comic book artist anyway, but Oni Press and EC Comics are about to push a few of them to the edge with a one-shot series titled Artists rom The Abyss. And the first victim — er, highlight? Charlie Adlard.

Further editions released throughout the Winter (and beyond) include David Lapham, Sami Kivelä, and Leomacs. Each issue will collect stories drawn by the title artist, from an array of writers. Artists rom The Abyss: Charlie Adlard will include stories by Chris Condon, David and Maria Lapham, Greg Pak, and Ben H. Winters.

With our new slate of acclaimed EC titles at Oni Press, it’s been a tremendous privilege to continue that terrifying, tantalizing tradition in style by uniting some of the comics industry’s greatest living talents and fastest rising stars alike for new tales of grievous horror and shocking science-fiction,” said Senior Editor Allyson Gronowitz. “Now we’re taking it up a notch with a novel celebration of our newest crop of grisled EC veterans – and what better way to start than with 32 pages of brilliant artwork by the inimitable Charlie Adlard?”
