This is the remix to Ignition Press: the publisher has announced its San Diego Comic-Con exclusives for 2026, as well as signings. Not a signing schedule, mind you, but where those signings will be… And they’re not on the con floor.
First, the exclusives. Ignition will be launching two titles at Comic-Con: Cul-de-Sac, by Cullen Bunn and Fico Ossio; and The Folk at Dooney Hollow, by Jeremy Haun and Alex Lins.
Cul-de-Sac also features colors by Ulises Arreola, and the Cold Open issue — a standalone prequel story, which is Ignition’s M.O. — will be available with a regular cover by Ossio and Arreola for $4.99, while there’s a limited-edition (500 copies) Cover B by Ebrahel Lurci for $9.99. Meanwhile, The Folk at Dooney Hollow will also launch a Cold Open issue with colors by Trish Mulvihill. That will feature a Cover A by Haun and Nick Filardi for $4.99, and again a limited-to-500-copies Cover B, this time by Lins.
What are these books about? Great question, my best friend! Here’s the synopsis for the Cul-de-Sac #1:
Nestled in a tucked-away corner of sleepy suburbia, the Kingsley, Herriman and Ortega families seemed like any other close-knit neighbors. So nothing seems amiss when Mrs. Kingsley piles all the neighborhood kids into the family RV for their annual summer camp-out. But in the dark of the woods, she unleashes a grisly, bloodcurdling display, revealing their families’ shocking secret—their parents are vampires and they’re eager to pass on their legacy.
Now the children must choose—to join them and revel in their awesome dark powers or live out their lives as mortals. …and here’s the synopsis for The Folk at Dooney Hollow #1:
Deep in the Ozark Mountains lies the village of Dooney Hollow, hidden away from modern society for over a century. Its existence is only spoken of around campfires, in hushed tones, by people who don’t necessarily believe. Those who stumble upon Dooney Hollow never return to prove that it’s real, because dark forces lurk in the woods just outside the town gate.
Kerri is a young graduate student who goes to the Ozarks to get a feel for the land and its people — and its local legends. Little does she know how close to these legends she will get, as a chance encounter in the forest leads her to ceremonial grounds and the terrifying monster that keeps the citizens of Dooney Hollow living in fear.
Cool beans! So both Huan and Bunn will be signing throughout Comic-Con, but as mentioned do not under any circumstances look for them on the con floor. Instead, they’ll be at the Ignition Pavilion, which is located at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center located at 200 Harbor Drive, #120, San Diego, CA 92101. Don’t worry, it’s not too far: it’s located across the street from the convention center, though you’ll have to get across the trolley tracks which is super annoying.
