It’s an odd month for Image Comics in July of 2026, as we’ve got a little bit of a lighter release schedule than usual. Still, there’s plenty to anticipate from a huge superhero debut to a big anniversary crossover and much more.

Liam Sharp is a unique talent in the comic book industry, and basically anything he does is a can’t miss. Check out his wild, weird space epic as it continues with a second volume.

2. Exquisite Corpses: Rascal Randy #1

How do you continue your mega-hit comic book series when all the main characters are dead? Easy, you do prequel miniseries. In this one case — spoilers — Rascal Randy is not dead as seen at the end of Season One, but if you’ve been aching for more insane mascot carnage, this is the book to check out.

I’m of two minds on black and white editions of books. On one hand, color art is art, so to cut it out extracts part of the book. On the other hand, getting to see Daniel Warren Johnson’s raw pencils and inks on one of his masterpieces? Okay, fine, sign me up.

One of the most goofy fun books on the stands, the bloody battle between, er, Battle Beast and Conquest rages on this issue.

The sporadically released anthology by Deniz Camp and Eric Zawadzki turns its attention to the gig economy throughout time. Every issue of Assorted Crisis Events is an event in and of itself, a gut-punching peek outside your window through the lens of time-tripping sci-fi.

6. Terminal #1

Skybound is pushing this hard as the next big thing, Robert Kirkman’s return to superheroes alongside Joe Casey, and a murderer’s row of artists: David Finch, Art Adams, and Andy Kubert. What’s it about? A secret war between two super-powered teams looking to protect and/or take over the world.

The darkest book on the stands continues as a journalist embedded with neo-Nazis finds something even scarier is lurking in the Norwegian snow.

8. Dread The Hall H 2026 #1

Last year’s edition of this anthology was a ludicrous delight, skewering Comic-Con conventions and poking loving fun at everyone from panel question askers to the talent and beyond. Short version? Can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves this time.

9. Feral #25

Release Date: July 29, 2026

This story arc has found the Feral cats and the Stray Dogs characters on opposite sides of a flipbook, trapped in the CDC. They’ve finally met, and this anniversary issue promises to not let everyone get out alive.
