11 Most Anticipated Marvel Comics For July 2026

Marvel Comics is event crazy in July of 2026, with not just a big, ongoing Avengers event, but a symbiote event as well.

But wait, there’s plenty more to come this month, including several adorable little ragamuffins, some 20th Century tie-ins, and other books, as well. So let’s break down our 11 most anticipated single issues, presented in chronological release order.

1. What If…? Secret Wars #1

Release Date: July 1, 2026

Marvel continues its celebration of 50 years of What If…? throughout the month, starting with this excellent little riff on the 2015 Secret Wars. Here, the original Ultimate Universe survives instead of the main Marvel Universe, and things spin off wildly from there.

2. Jeff The Land Shark: Superstar #1

Release Date: July 8, 2026

Jeff continues his reign of domination with this new miniseries that finds the Land Shark kidnapped by Mojo and teaming up with a bunch of mashup characters like Wolverine-Man and Dazzle Storm.

3. The Fantastic Four: First Foes – Shalla-Bal #1

Release Date: July 8, 2026

The MCU synergy continues with this one-shot set in the continuity of the movie, expanding on the Silver Surfer’s movie origin story. Charles Soule handles writing on this one, with Mark Buckingham on pencil duties.

4. It’s Symbie #1

Release Date: July 8, 2026

Marvel’s line of comics that start with “it’s” and end with a character name continues with this issue, collecting the digital adventures of the world’s tiniest symbiote.

5. Avengers: Armageddon #2

Release Date: July 15, 2026

Marvel’s Avengers-redefining event continues as David Colton accidentally wrecks both the Red Hulk and the Avengers. At least that’s what I assume happens based on the solicits. A classic whoopsie!

6. Punisher Vs. Spider-Man #1

Release Date: July 15, 2026

Yet another iteration of the characters in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (that would be Spidey, Hulk, and Punisher), this title revisits classic meetings between the duo to recap their relationshp at greater length.

7. Queen In Black #1

Release Date: July 22, 2026

Hey, I saw you from across the room and heard you like events, so here’s another one. In this symbiote epic, Hela comes to Earth, so does Knull, and they both want the planet, with Spider-Man and Venom stuck in the middle.

8. Gambit: Wanted #1

Release Date: July 22, 2026

Yet another throwback series, this one focuses on Gambit right before he joined the X-Men. And honestly? I’m a sucker for a good thief Gambit story, so: sold.

9. X-Men: The Hellfire Murder #1

Release Date: July 22, 2026

This year’s “Hellfire” special takes the form of a murder mystery, as someone is killed at the party and the rest of the mutants are on the case. While post-Krakoa this annual may be diminishing returns, the outfits are still real nice!

10. Godzilla Conquers The Multiverse #1

Release Date: July 22, 2026

Gerry Duggan and Javier Garrón’s ridiculous trilogy (ridiculogy?) concludes with the survivors of Godzilla’s attacks trying to recruit multiversal Kaiju to take him down.

11. Predator Vs. Planet Of The Apes #1

Release Date: July 29, 2026

Mainly it’s surprising this has happened yet since it’s such a no-brainer once you hear it, but looking forward to the Yautja getting their damn dirty hands on those apes.
