The corpses are exquisite and so are the spinoffs as Tiny Onion and Image Comics have revealed more about yet another series, Exquisite Corpses: Fox Mask Killer.
Written by Che Grayson with art by Adam Gorham, per the title the book will focus on the sword-wielding maniac first introduced in the main series. Colors will be by Jordie Bellaire, and letters by Becca Carey.
“From the moment James and Michael welcomed me into the world of Exquisite Corpses, I knew It was something special,” said Grayson via press release. “I gravitated instantly to Fox Mask Killer, a character whose design alone provoked a rich backstory and undeniable aura. The biggest treat for me as a writer was the challenge of bringing depth to a character whose face readers would never see…until now. With this new limited series, the mask finally comes off, and I couldn’t be more excited to team up again with my best mate Adam alongside stellar talents Jordie and Becca. This is a dream project for me and I think fans of Fox Mask Killer and the Exquisite Corpses series are going to be very happy with the high stakes and even higher emotions thrill ride we have her on.”
Added Gorham, “I’m thrilled about returning to the blood-thirsty world of Exquisite Corpses. The experience on Season One of the series was so fun and unique. My first issue, which brought Che and I together, focused on Fox Mask and Lady Carolina, and in the end it was clear to everyone involved that there was much more to explore with those characters. So here we are! Che and the ‘Onions’ have cracked a dynamite story filled with brutal action and razor sharp characters, and I have the great pleasure to draw it all.”
Along with Fox Mask Killer and the previously announced Rascal Randy spinoff, Pornsak Pitcheshote and Alberto Ponticelli will tackle Exquisite Corpses: Lone Gunman, as well as an anthology one-shot and an upcoming second season of the main title.
