This episode we’re taking a look at the highlights from Marvel’s September 2026 solicits, including Avengers assembling, Amazing Spider-Man #1000, and much more.

Marvel September 2026 Solicitations Highlights:

Marvel’s September 2026 solicits are here, bringing an advance look at what to expect in stores as a young man’s fancy turns from Summer to Fall. And because these are technically for comic book shops to make orders, versus Normal Human Consumption (NHC), you’ve got a little weirdness there like Avengers #1, which isn’t actually hitting shelves until November, but Marvel is urging stores to get those orders in now for the sure to be extremely rare issue. Just kidding, there’ll be thousands.

Beyond the incongruous Avengers (and has Marvel thought about that as a title? You could throw a bunch of characters who don’t make sense together and oh wait that’s the Defenders), let’s talk about some highlights.

Part of the reason for soliciting Avengers #1 so early? Likely because the new team debuts in Avengers: Armageddon #4, which does release in September. Otherwise, the biggest single issue, literally and figuratively, is Amazing Spider-Man #1000, which features everyone from Frank Miller to Fargo creator Noah Hawley taking on the web-slinger’s anniversary.

Amazing Venom #1 kicks off a five issue miniseries focusing on a title character who is neither Spider-Man nor Venom. Alien Vs. X-Men is a four issue mini by Kieron Gillen and Chris Claremont, with the latter introducing the Xenomorphs to the Brood. Infernal Hulk vs. Wolverine is the first of a series of one-shots leading up to the Hulk War event. And The Muppets Take The Marvel Universe mashes up puppets and superheroes for the first time.

Getting back to Spider-Man, there are like four different books that feature different combinations of Spider-Man, Hulk, and/or Punisher, all characters appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day the movie, though none of them have anything to do with the plot of that movie. And Spider-Woman gets a 50th anniversary special setting the stage for Jessica Drew’s new status quo.

Moving to X-Men, DNX #2 continues the mash-up event with the Fantastic Four as they fight in Philadelphia, though probably not over which cheesesteak is best. And two issues of X-Men and one issue of Fantastic Four tie into the event as well. Gambit Gone is a five issue miniseries that spins out of X-Men of Apocalypse and features not one, but two Gambits which is gonna fuel a lot of fanfic.

Wade Wilson: Deadpool and Punisher begin to cross over in September, continuing through October, written by Benjamin Percy and titled “Big Guns.” Return to Marvel’s Mangaverse with a series of one-shots kicking off with Web of Blood #1 by Joe Kelly and his son, Jack Kelly, and then wrapping up with Web of Destiny #1 by the end of the month.

Marvel Zombies: War Zone #1 is a new take on the deadites with Punisher and other street level heroes trapped in New York with the zombies. The Queen in Black crossover wraps up in the fifth issue of the event series, as well as tie-ins, in Venom, Black Cat and more. Black Panther/Namor: Doomed #1 spins out of Armageddon and has three kings fighting each other in Hell.

Fantastic Four: First Foes continues the MCU tie-in with Dragon Man, this time written by Greg Pak. Marvel Gold ’76 #1 sends Bullseye after Jack of Hearts, Nova, and Star-Lord, because they all debuted in 1976. And if you thought we were done with the Ultimate Universe… We are not, as Ultimate Impact: Reborn #5 teases more Origin Boxes may be coming.
