‘Batman: Bad Seeds’ Livestream To Reveal New Art, Titles, Prize Giveaways For DC Comics Event

Are you ready for a three-hour-long live-streaming event? Well, get ready, because DC Comics will be streaming this evening from 2pm PT to 5pm PT (5pm ET to 8pm ET) to celebrate the August debuting Batman: Bad Seeds event.

First of all, what is the Batman: Bad Seeds event? Great question, I’m so glad you asked. The event is “showrun” by Matt Fraction, who is currently writing Batman, and G. Willow Wilson, who is writing Poison Ivy. And in it, Mayor Ivy goes to extremes to shape the city with her vision, by essentially destroying it. The event will take place over one night, and run through issues of Batman, Poison Ivy, and every other Bat-family title — as well as specials, miniseries and one-shots TBA.

That’s where the Batman: Bad Seeds experience livestream comes in. Per DC, “Every few minutes you will see new art and title reveals as part of the 10-week event, plus special messages from talent along the way. Get ready for special prize giveaways including signed comics, variant covers, and even an original drawing by a legendary Batman artist we will need to stay ‘Hush’ about for now. Enjoy the sunlight now before sunset, because a long, dark night is coming…and that fresh air won’t last for long.”

Ohhh, is the legendary Batman artist Jeph Loeb? Probably. (Just kidding, it’s Jim Lee, I forgot you can’t make jokes on the internet.)

Anyway, while the livestream link hasn’t popped up yet on DC’s YouTube page, they do have a short teaser trailer, and sent over an ad to tease the event as well. As for the prize giveaways, they will only be open tonight, and can check out the full text/rules for that below. See you tonight!
